Global Diversity & Inclusion
Our multicultural teams of professionals enable us to win new business and strengthen existing client relationships. They are decisive for the success of our bank in the global market.
Credit Suisse continuously strives to create an inclusive working environment. We promote a culture of teamwork and equal opportunities that respects differences in gender, age, religion, nationality, ethnicity, sexual orientation and disability, thus benefiting both our clients and employees. This enables us to attract and retain top talent in a highly competitive industry.
Our Global Diversity and Inclusion (GDI) team helps us to win new areas of business, advises clients on the GDI strategy pursued at Credit Suisse and helps strengthen client relationships. It minimizes reputational risk by ensuring compliance with local regulations. We promote equal opportunities and diversity not only within Credit Suisse but also in the financial sector in general through partnerships with external organizations and by supporting and driving important research. The network of contacts we have established through these activities helps us to leverage business opportunities with current and prospective clients
Globally integrated
Credit Suisse's Employee Networks/Forums are fully engaged in all four regions. They promote career enhancement through development, networking, mentoring, provide additional access to senior management and help our employees balance their work and personal lives. They also promote corporate citizenship as a shared value through philanthropic participation. In addition, the Networks/Forums provide employees the opportunity to meet other Credit Suisse business colleagues that they might not be provided otherwise.
To honor cultures around the world and provide all employees access to a diverse range of thought leaders, Global Diversity and Inclusion sponsors speakers and hosts heritage/history months. Highlights include women's activist Billie Jean King, Credit Suisse Group Board of Directors member Noreen Doyle, former Prime Minister of the UK, Rt. Hon. John Major CH, literary icon Dr. Maya Angelou and former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
Diversity and Inclusion is integrated into key processes. For example, Diversity and Inclusion is one of the Banks core competencies which is part of the performance, compensation and promotion reviews. We also provide innovative policies and benefits. This underscores Credit Suisse's commitment to Diversity and Inclusion and to it's employees.
